Three BYHA Junior Knights teams win tournament titles
BELOIT — The Beloit Youth Hockey Association enjoyed a terrific and memorable weekend, collecting three championships, two on its home ice and a third captured in Belvidere, Ill.

BELOIT — The Beloit Youth Hockey Association enjoyed a terrific and memorable weekend, collecting three championships, two on its home ice and a third captured in Belvidere, Ill.
12U Junior Knights punched their ticket to the WAHA Peewee State Tournament March 8 in Waupun with a pair of weekend wins. Saturday in Verona, they knocked off RWD A 7-3 and then Sunday they traveled to the Bob Suter’s Legacy 20 rink in Middleton and edged Sauk Prairie A 6-5.

The BYHA began its summer off-ice workouts last Tuesday night at the Telfer Sports and Activity Center and was pleasantly surprised when nearly 40 skaters showed up for an hour-long program of drills with instructors from the Stateline Family YMCA followed by another hour of stick-handling and shooting drills with BYHA Coach Brad Potter.
