Bantam
Bantam level is high paced hockey. At this level, players are sharpening their skills and preparing for Midget level and high school hockey. Bantams are allowed to check at this level. Beloit Youth Hockey does teach the checking technique that these players will need to know in order to be safe. All players are required to follow the Code of Conduct.
Ages
2008-2009 Birth Years
When
Tryouts will be in Janesville. Ice time in Beloit will not begin until ice is laid in Beloit, roughly middle of October. The season will conclude after State.
Where
Edwards Ice Arena
Practices
Practices will be held at Edwards Ice Arena during the week. All practices are scheduled by the Master Ice Scheduler.
Games
Home games will be played at Edwards Ice Arena on the weekends. Away games will be held at the opponent's Ice Arena. Games will be scheduled by the team manager.
Jerseys
Jerseys and socks are provided by the association. Jerseys are distributed by the organization and the team manager assigns 2 parent volunteers to wash and bring them to each game. Jerseys are returned at the end of the season. Socks are the players to keep.
Extra Costs
Beloit Youth Hockey pays for 2 tournaments. All other tournaments are paid for by the families. Each team is also required to plan their own home tournament.
2022-2023
Bantam is full ice hockey. All players are required to have black helmets, gloves and breezers. Mouths guards are required! Home games will be held at Edwards Ice Arena and away games will be at the opposing team's ice arena.
