BYHA created the Learn to Skate program at the start of the 2021/2022 season. Learn to Skate focuses on forward/backward skating and hockey fundamentals.
Ages
BYHA encourages those interested in playing hockey between 3yrs-10yrs of age to come learn to skate.
When
Practices are held once a week for 4, 4 week sessions.
Session 1 typically begins late October or early November depending on ice conditions.
Where
Edwards Ice Arena
Practices
Once a week for 45 minutes each practice. Practice schedule can be found on the Calendar.
EQUIPMENT
Limited used equipment is available for free. Equipment can be also be rented from BYHA for $50.
Limited helmets & Skates available.
COST
Each 4 week session costs $25.

Our Learn to Skate program is designed to teach players how to skate and stop before joining a team. We strive to teach and educate the players and the parents on the game.
