Learn to Skate
BYHA created the Learn to Skate program for those interested in playing hockey at the start of the 2021/2022 season. Learn to Skate focuses on forward/backward skating and hockey fundamentals.
Ages
BYHA encourages those interested in playing hockey between 3yrs-10yrs of age to come learn to skate.
When
Practices are held once a week for 4, 4 week sessions.
Session 1 typically begins late October or early November depending on ice conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my child doesn't have equipment?
In an opportunity to grow the game of hockey BYHA has a limited amount of new player "starter kits" that will be available to rent on a first come/first serve basis. These kits will include all the equipment your child requires to play hockey. BYHA will charge a $50.00 rental fee for this equipment.
